Yoshiaki Kojiro(Japan) 1968- Born in 1968, Yoshiaki Kojiro obtained master’s degree (M. Eng. in Architecture) , Graduate school of Science and Engineering, Tokyo University of Science. After working in Gendaikeikaku Architectural & Planning Office in Tokyo, he gained extensive experiences in Tokyo Glass Institute (Kanagawa) and Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo (Ishikawa), then he established his own studio. His interest in the relationship between materials and human being led him to the burning process of formed glass. The artist was awarded Grand Prize, ‘the International Exhibition of Glass Kanazawa’ (2004); Special Mention, ‘LOEWE Craft Prize 2017’ (Madrid, Spain, 2017). His works entered into the collection of V&A Museum London (UK); Pinakothek der Moderne Munich (Germany); The Corning Museum of Glass, NY (USA); Toyama Glass Art Museum, Toyama (Japan); LOEWE Foundation, Madrid; to name a few.
