鷲見 康夫|Yasuo SUMI

1925年大阪府生まれ。関西大学および立命館大学卒業後は中学・高校で教師を務める中、1954年に同僚・嶋本昭三の勧めで絵を描き始め、芦屋市展で吉原治良と出会い翌1955年に具体美術協会へ入会。第1回から第21回まで全ての具体美術展に出品した。絵筆ではなく、そろばん、櫛、番傘など非伝統的画材を用いた独創的な抽象表現を追求。国内外で活躍し、自著『やけくそ・ふまじめ・ちゃらんぽらん』にも芸術哲学を記した。
Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1925. After graduating from Kansai University and Ritsumeikan University, he worked as a teacher at junior and senior high schools. In 1954, he began painting at the recommendation of his colleague, Shimamoto Shozo, and met Yoshihara Jiro at the Ashiya City Exhibition. The following year, in 1955, he joined the Gutai Art Association. He exhibited at every Gutai Art Exhibition from the 1st to the 21st. He pursued original abstract expression using non-traditional art materials such as abacus, combs, and umbrellas instead of paintbrushes. He was active both in Japan and overseas, and wrote about his artistic philosophy in his book "Desperate, Serious, Carefree."
